Thank you so very much for such an exposure oh my God! Women out there are really thinking about big things. I was blessed starting from the opening remarks until the last speaker?

The closing remarks i just felt every woman could just heae them so motherly and empowering.

As for the SADDC opportunities, I felt we don’t know a lot of things out there as Batswana when we have all these natural resources. All the speakers were amazing!

I see open opportunities for wealth, sustainable ones and partnerships. ke a leboha kudukudu?

Malawi Widows COVID 19 Mask Project

One of the Global Forum of Women Entrepreuners (GFWE) guiding principle is extrapolated from Matthew 25:35-40. It is a scripture where the Lord Jesus (Yashua) emphasizes the importance of taking care of the disadvantaged and vulnerable.

In April 2019 GFWE entered into an official Memorandum of understanding with MAWIA, the Chairperson of the Malawian Widows Association. GFWE was represented by it’s International President, Pearl Kupe and MAWIA, by it’s Chairperson, Mrs. Andrina Mchiela.

Several training, skilling and empowerment projects have since been rolled out to the widows, including the handing over of 10 sewing machines, Clothing and the start up of sewing and agricultural projects, amongst others. The latest GFWE MAWIA project roll out was inspired by our GFWE International Chairperson, His Royal Majesty Oba Dokun Thompson who suggested that the widows be encouraged to make PPE masks for people to wear during COVID 19 pandemic. He further suggested that some masks be made for selling and others to be distributed to the indigent. We are pleased to announce that we have already received some donations to purchase African materials to sew more masks through the assistance of Dr. Patricia Bailey, USA and other local sponsors in Malawi.
